Frequent Flyers, Drive-In Theaters and Flight Attendants
Be a Smarter Traveler Sunday with the Travel Guys. Tom and Mark are joined by four great guests. First up is Ben Schlappig. Ben writes a blog and makes a living “beating the system,” or at least squeezing everything out of it he can. Ben speaks about the merger of Continental and United Airlines, and how it will impact the frequent flyers of each carrier as they merge operations.

Next up is Becky Repp of American Road Magazine. This publication is one a true roadie can’t live without. The summer edition features drive-in movie theaters, now reduced only a few hundred in the country, they are a unique part of American pop culture. Becky tells us about the biggest drive-in in the country and reminds us that “friends don’t let friends drive the interstate.”
Joe Belotti is a 37-year veteran of flying the skies, and also runs a school for potential flight attendants on line. Joe’s program is a great way to find out if you have what it takes to become a flight attendant. If you know someone who is interested in that type of career, be sure and have them listen in (or catch the pod cast when it’s posted Wednesday after the show).
Finally, Tom has an update from the Cosmopolitan Caberet downtown, where a brand new comedy has opened, “Defending the Caveman.” What’s that all about? Tune in Sunday and find out.
