Southwest Airlines decides once a week non-stop to New Orleans isn't enough, and announces that starting in November, daily non-stops will begin to the Crescent City. Southwest is also adding a Sunday non-stop to Houston's Hobby Airport, as our air service from Sacramento continues to improve.
Steve LaRosa is on hand to share one of his What's Going On segments. Steve gives us ideas on things to do close to home.

Mark was at the biggest annual tourism conference in the US, IPW in Denver last week. IPW (International Pow Wow) attracts hundreds of international tourism buyers to the United States to meet with U.S. suppliers, in hopes of creating more tourism business for the U.S. Tourists equal jobs, so it's a pretty important conference. Mark meet with some of the suppliers and returned with some interviews. The folks at the Miami Zoo tell us about their new exotic elephant and Elephant Yoga; we update you on what's available for visitors on Ellis and Liberty Islands in New York Harbor; and finally, we take you to the home of Elvis, Graceland.

Chris also talks about a new phenomena, reverse ratings. You rated your Lyft driver or your Airbnb host, now they are turning the tables and rating you. But is the system fair? TSA sets a record for one day gun seizures. The alarming news - 3/4 of them were loaded. Mark explains that for the first time a major airline (Southwest) is actually planning to feed passengers to a flight originating from Sacramento. The new Hawaii service will do just that. It's a major change for our city. Mark explains why it's possible Sacramento's airport could be in for a major boost in service.
Gwen Duncan joins Tom in the Smarter Traveler segment, to talk a little about her recent trip to Bali. Specifically, Gwen shares what she liked and what she was surprised by in the country.
