On the Sunday, March 22nd, 2015 edition of The Travel Guys… This week's edition of The Travel Guys features an interview with a living entertainment legend, Barry Manilow.  Tom had the opportunity to talk to Barry about his upcoming concert tour, which includes a stop in Sacramento on April 17th. Wellness Tourism is a relatively new category of travel which is on the rise.  We have one of the owners of the Running Y Lodge in Klamath Falls, Oregon, to tell you a little about their magnificent outdoor-centric accommodations and some of the wellness programs available there. In the Travel News, Mark has a story about how much we prefer a great glass of wine over some pretty surprising things, and it appears the state of Hawaii is in for a cash windfall from Expedia and other on-line travel agencies.  Will paying the tax bill make some of these companies a little less stable financially?  And how does that impact the everyday traveler?
On the Sunday, March 15th, 2015 edition of The Travel Guys… This edition of The Travel Guys features Ed Perkins, Consumer Travel Advocate and writer for Smartertravel.com.  Ed opines on what ahead for air travelers the rest of the year, in terms of comfort and little pleasures; talks about his fight to get California authorities to push back against bogus hotel and resort fees; and names his favorite small airlines and why. Cary Nosler was known for years to Sacramento radio and TV listeners/viewers as Captain Carrot, the health foods guy.  Cary was into health foods long before they became popular.  He joins Mark and Tom to talk about farmer's markets, his favorites and what makes a good farmer's market.  Won't be long until we will all be in search of that perfect spring or summer fruit or vegetable.
On the Saturday, March 7th, 2015 edition of The Travel Guys… This edition of The Travel Guys features an insightful interview with Anne Banas, Executive Editor of SmarterTravel.com.  Anne comments on a recent story, questioning if Mexico is a safe destination for spring-breakers.  Anne not only addresses that issue head on, she has a host of safety tips which apply not only to Mexico, but to any destination that is unfamiliar to you, foreign or domestic.
