Deputy Chief Scott McLean of Cal Fire joins Tom to give outdoor enthusiasts a refresher course in fire safety, including campfires, the danger of parking your car in the brush and the importance of knowing your surroundings. Gwen Duncan reminds listeners of the importance of making sure your passport is valid for the length of your travels and more. Mark has some personal remembrances of Anthony Bourdain.

Southwest Airlines decides once a week non-stop to New Orleans isn't enough, and announces that starting in November, daily non-stops will begin to the Crescent City. Southwest is also adding a Sunday non-stop to Houston's Hobby Airport, as our air service from Sacramento continues to improve.

Mark was at the biggest annual tourism conference in the US, IPW in Denver last week. IPW (International Pow Wow) attracts hundreds of international tourism buyers to the United States to meet with U.S. suppliers, in hopes of creating more tourism business for the U.S. Tourists equal jobs, so it's a pretty important conference. Mark meet with some of the suppliers and returned with some interviews. The folks at the Miami Zoo tell us about their new exotic elephant and Elephant Yoga; we update you on what's available for visitors on Ellis and Liberty Islands in New York Harbor; and finally, we take you to the home of Elvis, Graceland.
