This Sunday (December 4) on The Travel Guys... A couple of weeks ago, Tom sat down with noted ukulele player Jake Shimabukuro. We've been promising to share that interview with you ever since, and today, you will hear Tom and Jake. Not only does Jake share some of his story with us (and Hawaiians love to tell story), he also plays. It's one of the Guys' best entertainment interviews ever. Mark digs into the mailbag and answers your questions, including, "Does the maid/housekeeper go through your stuff?" What do YOU think. We have some fun answers and Mark shares an update on the emotional support animal story from last week. Listeners comments and the story about the pet turkey on the plane are all part of this continuing drama. Mark and Tom also talk about some gift ideas for the traveler on your list.

Posted Sunday, November 20th, 2016 This Sunday (November 20th), the guys welcome Steve LaRosa, with another episode of "What's Goin' On," in and around Sacramento in the coming weeks. In the Travel News, United Airlines is about to introduce a bare-bones fare which doesn't include regular carry-on privileges and a new super strain of bed bugs may be upon us. Jessica Monsell updates us on a story we did a couple months back. You might remember restaurants are putting ordering tablets on the table with access to games. Except the games aren't free, and you don't find that out until the meal check arrives. Now, after some pressure, a few restaurants are rethinking the idea. Jessica also talks to us about Allegiant Airlines and the recent revelation that their planes have many more serious in flight problems than anyone else. Finally, Nico Melendez of TSA talks about the the things infrequent travelers (like many who travel over the holidays) mistakenly try to bring through security. Maybe we can help you get through airport security quicker and be a smarter traveler!

Who controls the window shade on the plane? The person in the window seat? Do the other two passengers have a say? What about the arm rests? Does the person in the middle seat automatically get two? Should pets be allowed on planes? Under what restrictions? We want to hear from YOU! Should you recline your seat? What about bringing odiferous (stinky) food on the plane? Is that ok? Should there be child free sections on an aircraft? Or not? There are prizes for lucky callers. Things to help your gift shopping so a bit easier. Like American Express and Williams-Sonoma gift cards. Reporter Jessica Monsell is on hand to warn you about a new rental car rip-off and to fill us in on a new consumer web site. Gwen Duncan has some holiday travel tips to make you a smarter traveler. Join us Sunday at 3 on KFBK.
