Mark has details. Mark is live from the Food Fest of American Eats in New Orleans, with interviews from the people who make the festival happen, including food vendors and a most unique charity which benefits from the event. In our entertainment segment, we talk with John Nicolaus, who is the Chair of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission. John is trying to get some of the funding which has been cut in recent years (80%) restored to the SMAC budget. Go! Airlines, with part of the Mesa Airlines Group, has folded its tent in Hawaii. Mark has the complete story in the Travel News. Airbnb is a relatively new service based on the Internet which matches people with empty houses, or rooms in their home, with those in search of the not-so-standard accommodations. We talk with a man who regularly rents his home to travelers and discuss the pros and cons of this interesting service. Gwen Duncan has The Deal of the Week, and it's all about cruising, specifically repositioning cruises, what they are and how they can be a great bargain. His new book, "How to Be the World's Smartest Traveler," is an easy read and an inexpensive tool that can be used by any traveler. Chris joins Mark and Tom to discuss the new print. Speaking of popular, mileage guru Ben Schlappig, author of the One Mile at a Time blog and an expert of frequent flyer program to discuss the recent changes in the Delta program.
