Steve Richer, Public Affairs representative for the National Tour Ass'n in Washington, DC, updates us on the status of travel to Cuba. There could be some action as soon as next week, according to Richer, which could allow U.S. citizens to return to Cuba as tourists after more than 50 years.

Plus soccer fans traveling to Russia for the World Cup are being warned about using their electronic toys. Deputy Chief Scott McLean of Cal Fire joins Tom to give outdoor enthusiasts a refresher course in fire safety, including campfires, the danger of parking your car in the brush and the importance of knowing your surroundings. Gwen Duncan reminds listeners of the importance of making sure your passport is valid for the length of your travels and more. Mark has some personal remembrances of Anthony Bourdain.

Southwest Airlines decides once a week non-stop to New Orleans isn't enough, and announces that starting in November, daily non-stops will begin to the Crescent City. Southwest is also adding a Sunday non-stop to Houston's Hobby Airport, as our air service from Sacramento continues to improve.
