On the Saturday, August 6th, 2016 edition of The Travel Guys… This Sunday (August 7) The Travel Guys are joined by Ben Schlappig, from the One Mile at a Time blog. Ben is a favorite guest and he's back to talk about recent changes to the American Airlines frequent flyer program and to give you some wisdom on what credit card is currently the best deal for travelers. Follow Ben at www.onemileatatime.com. Other guests include a Westin Hotel with a unique Adopt-a-Dog Program that is finding dozens of pooches a new home; and Gwen Duncan, our Travel Professional, tells us how to save money on airfare by considering alternate airports.
On the Sunday, June 8th, 2014 edition of The Travel Guys… Ben Schlappig of One Mile at a Time is not only one of our favorite travel bloggers, he's also an expert world traveler.  Ben is homeless in an unusual way.  He's changing addresses around the world every 2-4 weeks, and no longer has a home base.  How many of us wish we could do that? Ben updates us on his most recent stops on the journey of a lifetime. Ever wish you could be at the Baseball Hall of Fame's annual induction ceremony in August? Maybe attend the World Series?  Perhaps snag a ticket to the Super Bowl or any major sporting event?  There's a company to help with that, Sports Tours and Travel.  We introduce you to Jay Smith, who can take you to all those places. Mark and Tom share the things you SHOULD say to your flight attendant (as opposed to last week, when we share the list of things you shouldn't say).
On the Sunday, April 27th, 2014 edition of The Travel Guys… In the Travel News, Mark reports on the annual Freddie Awards, which were held in Seattle Thursday night.  Who were the hotels and airlines who won, and perhaps more telling, who lost. Frequent Traveler University is being held in Seattle this weekend, which means nearly 400 miles and points geeks are gathered together to plot the overthrow of the travel establishment.  Or maybe just how to squeeze some extra miles or an upgrade out of your next trip. Mark speaks to Ben Schlappig, who was an instructor at the event, about the future of frequent flyer programs; Summer Hull of MommyPoints.com about credit cards that help you travel, and to Randy Petersen, the founder of many Frequent Flyer web sites and programs, about how the FF community gives back.  Three terrific short interviews loaded with information.
