Tips to keep your money safe while traveling

On the Saturday, June 27th, 2026 edition of The Travel Guys… In the Travel News, good news on National Parks in Canada this summer; and World Cup fans are still coming, they just aren’t deciding where until the tournament plays out a bit. Pretty smart people. Travelers are out in big numbers this summer, and as always are using their credit cards for charges and getting cash from ATMs. In our Smarter Traveler segment, we share two first hand warnings from listeners and emphasize some tips to keep your money safe while traveling. In our Odds and Ends portion of the show we talk about what happens if your cruise ship can’t make all of its scheduled stops on the itinerary, and Kraft has come up with a way for World Cup visitors to get their coveted souvenir, ranch dressing, on the plane with them. Hilton launches another new hotel brand

On the Saturday, June 6th, 2026 edition of The Travel Guys… In the Travel News, Hilton launches (yawn) another new hotel brand, Uber & Lyft drivers in one state have formed a union, and Hawaiian Airlines says goodbye to free meals in economy class. Wallet Hub has named its best hotel loyalty program for 2026. We’ll share the name of the winner and talk a little about Hotel Frequent Guest programs. Is it just us, or does it feel like those programs are offering less and less in the way of actual awards and benefits? Many of the current trends in travel are being driven by women – we’ll talk about a few; the Tony awards are tomorrow night and (remembering we are the travel AND entertainment guys), we’ll have a look from the stage on Broadway in New York City.
