Seems as though the new "return tunnel" is billing people for every little nick and scratch, including things caused by weather and the like. Our Smarter Traveler segment discusses airline ticket refunds: If you buy an airline ticket for a domestic flight at least seven days in advance, you can cancel it without charge within 24 hours of purchase, if you purchased it directly from the airline. If you bought it from a third party (Trip Advisor, Booking.com, a wide variety of other outlets), you may not have that protection. The California State Fair opens next Friday, July 11th.
