On the Saturday, June 6th, 2026 edition of The Travel Guys… In the Travel News, Hilton launches (yawn) another new hotel brand, Uber & Lyft drivers in one state have formed a union, and Hawaiian Airlines says goodbye to free meals in economy class. Wallet Hub has named its best hotel loyalty program for 2026. We’ll share the name of the winner and talk a little about Hotel Frequent Guest programs. Is it just us, or does it feel like those programs are offering less and less in the way of actual awards and benefits? Many of the current trends in travel are being driven by women – we’ll talk about a few; the Tony awards are tomorrow night and (remembering we are the travel AND entertainment guys), we’ll have a look from the stage on Broadway in New York City. On the Saturday, July 26th, 2025 edition of The Travel Guys… In the Travel News, Uber announced a new feature that let’s women riders be paired with women drivers, and likewise men with men; you still can’t take full water bottles through security at the airport...yet, and United Airlines has made some awesome additions to its app that will make airport connections a little easier.
